We are so lucky to be getting married at such a unique place! You can learn more about the NH Audubon and all their amazing work here.
As a nature preserve, there are some specific rules we have to follow, such as no smoking of any kind anywhere on the premises. Music will also be kept slightly lower than your average wedding.
You will have a few animals that you can meet during our wedding! The Audubon is home a few (3-4) raptors that you can visit in a close-by wing to the reception area. The birds remain in their enclosures.
The reptile room will also be open to visitors (opt in only, don't worry!) which includes turtles, snakes, as well as ethical taxidermy of many species from the area.
The venue has minimal steps and the event will be all on the ground floor. Restrooms are indoors. The ceremony will take place outdoors in the grass and the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors. The Audubon has both heating and AC so we will be comfortable no matter what May weather brings us!
Though there will be animals around, there will never be a time where you have to interact with one. It's your choice!
The parking lot and ceremony space are both very close to the indoor section of the venue.
There will be bagpipes during the ceremony, which may be loud as they are basically one set volume, but after that the music will all be played through venue speakers (no DJ or subwoofers of any kind).
You can read more about venue accessibility here.
The Audubon center features a rotating gallery of local artists in the reception space. We're excited to announce that our very own father of the bride, Pierre Garand, will be exhibiting during the time of the wedding!
You can see more about Pierre's work on his Facebook page or at his website.
